Just thought I'd share this interesting tid bit with you all. :)

Britax/Fisher Price Car Seats

"Britax will launch watered down versions of its seats under the Fisher Price brand in December 2006."

Trina, do you know if they will be available in Canada? I've finally saved up enough to buy a Britax, should I hold off and wait and buy two Fisher Price?

Interesting. I wonder why FP ever stopped making their own seats in 2000. That Safe Embrace could have really rivaled the Britax seats. FP could have done really well with its great seat and low price. Even FPs Safe Embrace High Back Booster was ahead of its time with the contoured sides and the fabric loops to hold the shoulder belt so it didn't get caught or snagged in the tiny plastic molded openings most cheap high back boosters have. Okay, now I'm just rambling. :) I just wish FP had continued their line all along.

Heaventree, I had the same question. I haven't heard if they'll be available in Canada or not, but I'll let you know if I do.

Kate, Yes, I was bummed when FP stopped making car seats. NICE and affordable! You would think they would have at least sold their designs. Maybe they want to keep their options open?? I'm curious as to how this Britax/Fisher Price venture came about. Sounds good though!

I know I loved the Fisher-Price seat that they had back in the 90's. It was so easy to fasten, although admittedly, only a 3-pt harness. We never had to put it to the test though and my kids are still here, thank goodness!
