Toddler proofing the nursery

My sisters twins are causing more problems :)

Where can you find something to lock the dresser drawers? Is there such a thing? The dresser itself is anchored to the wall, but they keep opening the drawers, i'm sure that they will soon figure out that they can make steps with the dresser drawers!

Also, their closet doors slide. They of course keep playing with them. Is there a way to lock it either open or closed?

thanks, and my sister thanks you too!

PerfectlySafe.com offers a lot of childproofing items. BabiesRUs is another good place to look.

If the drawers have the long pulls (not knobs) we have stuck a yard stick through them, they can only open all the drawers that way..LOL>

As for sliding doors, we removed them with my middle son, it was cheap and easy to do, when he out grew that stage we replaced them.

We removed the sliding closet doors as well. Ours were mirror so they were just too dangerous to leave on.

Our doors are removed too. It's cheap and easy and makes you keep whats in the closet clean!

Have you tried masking tape? I used to keep masking tape on our entertainment center to keep it closed. IT's one of those that swing out and holds videos in it. It kept my daughter out.

I got a bunch of "child safety" stuff at Target for my dear granddaughter's parents, which included drawer locks, door locks, and a bunch of other stuff. It wasn't expensive.
