Do I want this to stop? Nope! :)

Connor picks up a book and brings it to me to read to him at least every 15 minutes. He'll bring it to me and I'll sit down...he'll back up into my lap and just smile with excitement. We go through at least 15 books a day...aaahhh...so different than teaching high school.

Name a parenting moment you don't want to stop...let's freeze in time, shall we??

Can I freeze a whole year? My youngest is four and this is my favorite age. We're past the terrible two's and three's and she's so eager to learn. She's *this* close to learning to read and she's so animated about everything! She is still cuddly and snuggly and I don't get any attitude from her...yet.

I wish I could just bottle every word that Helen says! My son was such a late talker and then seemed to jump right to sentences. My little princess, though is the wordsmith! At 14 months she talks up a storm and says words in the cutest little voice. I could spend hours having her repeat words for me. My favorites are shoe, home, plese, book, and of course, pizza! I love showig her the book, "Beep, Beep!" because she looks at it and says, "Beep, Beep!".

Frankly, most of the moments are please stop the clock ones - except those that happen at 2.3, and 4 in the morning.

I think it would be the learning-to-talk stage, when they say a new word everyday! Or all of a sudden come out with locomotive or strawberry! I loved it! It's like they are starting to make sense of the language around them!

Another one would be sitting on the couch and coloring, when Sarah was 4. She liked me to draw shapes. I taught her about trapezoids and the different kinds of triangles, too, when I got tired of just squares, circles, and triangles!

For Emily, watching her do imaginative play, when she was 2. She would sit and play with a doll all by herself, for long periods of time!

For both of them, just watching them play, when they were really getting along with each other and cooperating together!

My 27mo ds and I look out his window every night before he goes in his crib. The room is dark, and we say goodbye to everything. I used to help, but now he does it on his own. In a very soft voice he says things like "G-bye house, g-bye street, goodbye 1, goodbye 2, goodbye 3, goodbye cookies...no more cookies, goodbye sidewalk, goodbye street...no street!

It is so sweet - as we stand there I just want to eat him up!!!!!

I'm with TINK!!!! I LOVED the age of 3 and 4... Absolutely the best years!! I was so sad when he turned 5. Sure enough he has changed and is not really as cuddly and loving anymore. Doesnt need Mom as much. :( I miss 3 and 4.

He did walk in the kitchen the other day and say 'Ohhh, there's my beautiful Mom!!' lol

My middle ds(12 now) was that way with books. He would rather read then play with toys when he was little. Too this day he reads ALL the time.

This weekend we were shopping at a Christmas store. DD age 4 5/6 found a My Little Pony Christmas stocking she wanted. Then she found a panda bear she wanted. Both same price. I told her she could have one and to pick. She picked the panda bear and we went to put the stocking back. I asked if she was sure of her decision. As she hung the stocking up she ran her hand over it and commented that it was so but it was more important for Jonna (a little panda bear she has) to have a mommy. I almost bought her both at that point.

I told dh about it when we got into the van and tears came to his eyes. She's just so sweet. I don't want her to grow up.

I have this video of the Christmas my dd was 2 1/2 and ds was 1 yr. They were both so darned cute.
We video taped them waking up. DD was already in DS's room. DS was jumping up and down in the crib wanted to get out. DH put camera on DD and she goes "Hi! I'm Beyya (Bella) and this my friend Joey"

DD played "Santa" that morning. She picked up the first gift and instead of wanting it to be for her she "read" the tag and said "This one for JOEY!!!" and give it to her baby brother. Then "read" another tag and said "Br***", Daddy that YOU!!" Santa got her a Molly doll, from the Big Comfy Couch show. She opened it and goes "Big Cunchy Coch!, Molly!"

And little Joe was just walking around and looking around with a BIG smile on his face the whole time.

I love that age, and how they talk at that age. I wish i could freeze that day in time and go back and live it again once in a while.

I would freeze frame those moments when my children were small and would crawl up into my arms, snuggle in and just fall asleep and I would sit there holding them in the dim light of the room and watch them. I still sit and watch them sleep sometimes, only now they don't snuggle in with me to sleep all that often :( *sigh* I miss that so much.
