By Kernkate on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 01:09 pm:

I was just curious as to what kind of drinks your kids like?? My kids like juicy juice, ice tea and lemonade. DS likes milk but DD doesn't.

By My2cuties on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 01:22 pm:

Both my dd's love milk and water. other favorites are pink lemonade, gatorade and almost any drink with color (Orange juice, Hawaiian Punch) They don't drink alot of juice. As far as carbonated beverages goes, Hailey doesn't drink them and Katelyn will have an ocassional Sprite or Nehi Peach.

By Trina~moderator on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 01:38 pm:

Mostly milk and water, sometimes 100% juice. Soda, lemonade, etc. are occasional treats.

By Colette on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 02:11 pm:

chocolate soy milk, reg. milk, ice water, juice and like Trina, occasional treat of lemonade.

By Crystal915 on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 02:17 pm:

My kids drink regular milk, soy milk, juices, lemonade, punch, or water. Shane will occasionally take a sip of my Coke if I'm not looking, but we never give them soda on purpose.

By Bellajoe on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 02:19 pm:

Milk, water, lemonade, juice

The only time they can have a pop/soda is during a special occasion like a birthday. DD doesn't like it anyway and ds only drinks the orange pop

By Kaye on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 02:27 pm:

my kids favorite drink is chocolate milk. They most drink water, but also they all like ice tea, i make it at home decaf, so it is fine with me.

By Kernkate on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 02:28 pm:

Its funny here with Soda, I buy caffeine free pepsi for me and DH likes Pepsi and Mt Dew with his lunch but the kids never ask for it. Even my DS who is 19 rarely drinks soda.

By Tink on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 04:41 pm:

All three of my kids like chocolate milk, orange juice, and Gatorade. My girls like ice water, "white" milk and grape or apple juice. My youngest dd loves iced tea. My kids rarely get soda or lemonade, maybe once every two months or so.

By Eve on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 05:35 pm:

Milk, sparkling water, water, juice, and I let her drink soda now and again. I have no issue with her ordering a coke when we are out to eat. My DD has never been interested in chocolate milk! I've tried.:)

By Annie2 on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 07:33 pm:

Skim milk, chocolate milk, water, apple/orange juice. Sugar-free lemonade and diet soda more frequentlty in the summertime and on weekends.

By Boxzgrl on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 - 07:58 pm:

Milk, water (specifically "ice" water), sports drinks and diluted juice (still). The only time she's had anything carbonated is if DH leaves his drink on the table and she sneaks some.

I guess I'm the odd one out. I have always let my kids have soda. But not for every drink every day. They love juice, ds loves milk, dd loves water, and they both love lemonade.

Their favorite drink, though, is the flavored water they sell in Liter bottles at wal-mart. They drink it all the time. No caffeine, no sugar, no carbs, no anything! Hehe!

But, if they decide they'd like to have some soda, I let them. I just make sure they keep their teeth brushed. I have just always had an issue with me drinking something and not letting my kid have it. I'm a softy, I guess! LOL! But, as long as I buy the flavored water, that is their drink of choice.

My ds did drink milk all the time, but his pediatric gastrologist has had me limit it to a cup or two a day because he has a really hard time digesting more than that.

Rylee LOVES Strawberry Milk. She also likes juice, regular milk, water with ice.

My 13yo and 15yo daughters are into bottled water, currently!

11 y/o--Milk
8 y/o--Water

I tease them all of the time saying that I am going to buy them each a cow and a water fountain for Christmas. They also like Koolaid, any soft drink, or sports drink. I don't routinely buy soft drinks and keep them in the house (just for parties and special occasions), but they always have a soft drink when we go out to eat or are out running errands.

By Debbie on Thursday, June 16, 2005 - 08:24 am:

My youngest ds loves milk. He also drinks gatorade, juice and water. My oldest loves gatorade and sports drinks. He drinks milk with his meals. We were having a hard time getting him to drink water. But, for some reason he likes the little bottled waters, so I have been buying those.

As far as soft drinks, I don't keep them in the house. Dh and I really don't drink them and my youngest doesn't like them at all. My oldest only likes rootbeer and he orders it when we go out to eat.

Brendan mostly drinks either 100% juice, water, or sugar free kool aid. He'll have a sip of soda if he sneaks it but I don't buy it for him at restaurants, etc... He'll drink lemonade if we are out and apple juice box at McDonalds.

By Jackie on Thursday, June 16, 2005 - 01:12 pm:

My 5 yr old, love milk. She also drinks juice one a day. She does not like anything carbonated. She will drink water as well.

My 10 yr old, likes soda. Hes allowed one glass perday. He drinks mainly water through out the day. He will drink Chocolate milk if we have it, but dont buy it too often.

Faith, who is 10 months old, majority of her drinking is Breastmilk LOL... she gets a little watered down juice in a cup once a day as well.

My daughter loves water and my son loves orange juice and milk. They both like pop but get tired of it quickly.
