Kaitlyn is doing so well in her daycare. Her first week she had a girl watching her that claimed to be doing a preschool like curriculum and I was happy about that. The first day I picked up DD, she said they just watched tv all day. The 2nd day, DD came running out to my car when I pulled up with nobody in sight... she didn't even know Kaitlyn got outside. The 3rd day, I asked her if DH could borrow a carseat to pick DD up since I forgot to leave ours and she said she had a ton. When I got home I noticed she gave DH a booster seat to put Kaitlyn in. Three strikes and you're out, right? YES! My friend referred me to her sitter and I thought Kaitlyn would do well because her little "boyfriend" goes there. She has a full schedule written out (of course it changes to how well the kids will listen) and they say prayers before meals, read bible stories, brush their teeth after meals and do a lot of learning. My friends son who goes there just turned 3 and knows all his ABC's, most of his numbers, his birthday, he can write his name and can recite A TON of stories, poems and songs. The first day Kaitlyn whined a little (but was better than she was with the other sitter, who she absolutely bawled over when being dropped off), the second day she was a bit whiny but went off to play. The 3rd day and today she got out of the car, ran up to the door, said bye and went on her way like she was at Disneyland. I am absolutely impressed and feel very blessed to have a great sitter for Kaitlyn like I do. It makes working a lot more worth while. :) Just thought i'd share. :)

It's wonderful to find the right daycare!!!! My oldest son graduates from 8th grade next week and he has been at the same day care for 13 1/2 years. Yes, he still has to go to catch the bus to and from school. My 7 yr old son has been there since 2 month old. It too is a Christian home where they pray before meals and are taught morals and keep to a tight schedule as if they were at home, and even comes with a Grandma (her mom works for her also). Mine also runs a preschool program that she purchased from a college. I was blessed to find her, and now you are too!! Just don't be too upset when Kaitlyn cries when you pick her up or calls you by the sitters name, it will happen. Took me awhile to get over this but then I realized my boys were with the next best thing to me and that meant alot. You will have peace of mind at work knowing she is well taken care of. Good job realizing that the first one was a hoax.

They watched tv all day? Yikes! I wouldn't have liked that, either. They need to be busy doing stuff. I'm glad you found a daycare you liked much better than the first one!
