When did your baby phase out of certain naps?

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive January-June 2005: When did your baby phase out of certain naps?

Connor is not going to sleep right now...he normally goes to sleep from 9:15-11:15am and then again from 2-4pm like clockwork.
He's REALLY fighting the sleepies. He's fully fed and changed but has been crying off and on for an hour!! I get him after about 5 minutes of continual crying....I read to him, sing to him, and then put him back...he'll cry again.
Do they transition to just afternoon naps at this age? He's 10 months now.
(Ok, now he stops crying...ugh. Long morning...)

Natalie, also 10mths., fought naps for about 2 mths. It was grueling. She was tired but refused. We had lots of crabby days until she figured out that sleeping is good. I wondered if maybe she was trying to give up her AM nap, but it was just a phase. Now she's back to sleeping just like Connor, 9:30-11:30 and about 3:30-5. It's just a phase probably. Maybe he's jsut out-of-sorts today. Good luck!!!

Olivia at about 10 or 11 months started taking 1 nap, then went back to 2 naps & is back at 1 nap around noon & it lasts 2-3 hours.
