Hi Heidi,

Just wondering if you went swimming with Connor yet? How did it go?

By Mrsheidi on Monday, March 21, 2005 - 05:09 pm:

Hi!
Thanks for asking! We are starting tomorrow morning. I was supposed to start last Tuesday but I had to make a trip back to AL with him to do some fixups on our house in hopes that it will sell!! We just found out that we got an offer this week so we are happy! :-) We are also selling our Passat so things have been crazy.
I got him his swim diaper and some cute blue swimsuit trunks too that I couldn't resist!
I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow! I think he's just going to love it!

Hi Heidi,

May I ask what year your Passat is & how much where you looking to sell it for. I currently do not have a car and I'm in the market for a used car that's dependable and that can get me and my children to our destinations safely.

We went swimming today! Connor was nervous at first and didn't like the shower but loved it by the end! We even went under water together!! (Make me SO VERY nervous so the instructor did it with him first and showed me how.)
We also practiced with his head up and him on his back...he loved that. It was funny because he would splash while she explained the next activity. She would end up using him to show the next activity because he wouldn't fuss. (He doesn't have stranger anxiety yet.)
And, Letishe, the Passat is sold now, basically. We were selling it on Craigslist.org for 12,499. It is a 2001.5 (the newer version) but Passats, especially the newer ones, are not very dependable. I mean, I was never stuck anywhere, but the check engine light was on every 3 months so it was more of a hassle than anything.

Heidi, I'm happy for you that he loved! You are so brave, I wouldn't put Matt under water at all the first set of lessons.

It's also great that he does not make shy. Matt never has either, it makes it easier sometimes, hope it stays that way for you as well.

Yeah, it's interesting because when I taught Biology (before I had Connor) I showed a video to my students and it said that babies naturally hold their breath, etc....never was I prepared to do it to my own child!!! It DID scare me to death!!
