I saw on the post that you think I'm brave...let me tell you why I think it's easier for me to give Taylor solids, because I've BTDT. (4 times over) I was a Nanny for 8 years before I became a mommy. I raised those kids...3 of them...from day 1. I also have a 4 year old that I fed the same way.

All I can say is go at your own pace and do what feels comfortable. Sounds like you guys have a routine and it's working. Taylor really enjoys solids so I'm going with it. Tonight she had steamed white rice, steamed broccoli, ground Turkey and canned peaches. I have to say the food was ALL OVER THE PLACE but that's what our dog is for and she has so much fun at meal time. :) LOL

I have one friend that would cut a cheerio into 4 pieces and she was amazed that I would just give them to DS whole. LOL Now that she has her second she only cuts them in half. :)

Sounds to me like you are doing a great job and having so much fun with your little man.

aaawww...thanks! We do have fun, but you really do give me inspiration! I had no idea you were a nanny for so long. What training!
We are taking it slow...it would be fun to see him go to town on some table foods though. I really think he'll have fun, not to mention our dog too!
I caught her licking his removable tray when I put it on the chair and video recorded it...too funny! We knew this day would come!! Thanks for your kind words...I'm going to keep trying though...should be a fun experience!

I thought I read somewhere that your DH does Triathlons. My Dh husband does those as well as the California Half Ironman. He has already taken DS surfing and swears he will be on a board every weekend by the time he is 6. LOL

Hey Andi,
Not sure that was my DH...he does run though. He ran track at Colorado State where I met him. He sinks like an anchor and he says bikes hurt his butt...ha ha ha...
That's awesome he takes your DS surfing. We are very outdoorsy. Something we miss about living in Colorado. He hope one day to move back. *sniff*
