At least he's honest

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive January-June 2005: At least he's honest
By Sunny on Saturday, February 26, 2005 - 10:36 pm:

This is the conversation I had with my 7 yr old Ds earlier. He has been misbehaving and not listening to me for the past couple of days.

Me: You know, I think the reason you haven't been listening to me is because you're tired and not getting enough sleep at night. I guess we need to make your bedtime earlier.

DS: No, that's not the reason.

Me: It's not? Then why have you not been listening to me?

DS: Because I don't like what you say.

*sigh*

LOL - write it down so you can laugh about it when he gets older.

LOL, yes at least he is honest.

My 4 yr old ds was singing earlier. We don't mind a child singing of course but he was singing very loudly in his little boy high pitched voice. Not a pleasant sound. My dh said to him "what can i do to make you stop singing" Ds replied "Wear earmuffs" LOL

Sounds familiar, Sunny! I've gotten similiar responses from DD. LOL!

LOL, Bellajoe! Makes perfect sense to me. *Chuckle*
