Shield boosters are no longer recommended or manufactured. DO NOT use them with the shield! It is OK to remove the shield and use the base as a belt positioning booster.

Trina, I briefly glanced at that website and the Cosco booster just plain LOOKS dangerous!

Trina - I've heard that the Cosco Alpha Omega is not safe to use as a belt positioning booster because it does not allow the lap part of the seat belt to tighten, making it possible for the child to slide out underneath in an accident. Is this true?

From personal experience from working at Car Seat Checks, I'm not comfortable with how the vehicle lap and shoulder belt fits the child in the Alpha Omega in the booster mode. Not snug at all. On one little girl the shoulder belt was a good 2 inches away from her body and the lap belt wasn't snug to my liking either.
