Veteran's Day and Kids

Is anyone doing anything with thier kids in honor of Veteran's Day tomorrow? My son is three and a half and I know he's to young to "get" what it's all about but I'd like to do something with him. It was always a very special day for us growing up because it was my Grandpa's birthday as well.

Maybe we'll make an American flag out of construction paper, anyone else have any ideas?

We used to go to the parade every V day. The kids liked it at any age. They also give a presentation at the local monument after the parade. Good for older kids. I have to work so we don't get to do that anymore.
