There aren't many Car Seat Check events this time of year in cold weather areas, like NY. However, you may be able to find indoor permanent check stations and/or CPS Techs in your area.

Bummer, that last link didn't work. Go to SafeKids.org and click on "CPS Certification" along the left column. Then click "click here" at the top. On the bottom of the left column click on "Search for Technician or Instructor" Select your state and go from there. Each tech/instructor has contact info listed. HTH!
