I just have to say how proud I am of dd! She got her report card today and got all A's!! This is not unusual for her as she got all A's last year too, but she had a very rough time starting 4th grade and she really had to work to get those A's this time. There is such a HUGE difference in what they expect the kids to do this year compared to last year. She is also changing classes and has a couple of different teachers this year and also her best friend moved to a different school district and there was only one little girl in her class this year that she even knew very well! She also has a male teacher as her homeroom teacher and she has never had a man before, so that was an adjustment too. Since he is her homeroom teacher, she has him for most of the day and then they switch in the afternoon. So anyway, sorry to ramble there, but I wanted to explain why this is such a HUGE deal for us!! Way to go Staci!!!
