Pround mommy bragging

Hey all, I am so excited. My ds is doing so good in school. I was so worried that he wouldn't handel it that well or I should say I was afraid that I wouldn't handel it good. But anyway, he is learning how to read little words he is writeing his name correct (uppercase first letter lower case rest). He LOVES his teacher and hates it when the week-end comes. His teacher said she is very impressed with how he is doing and that he is doing just as good and sometimes better than the kids that were in pre-school. I was so worried about that! Today they had a pizza party and we have gone on 2 field trips. I am just so amazed on how fast he is learning and how much. I am also a member of the PTA! All my friends have said that I am totally in my element being a school mom!! I think this is what I have been waiting for, I love being the mom of a Kindergartener!! And we hardly ever argue any more because were not around each all the time. I just had to brag about this exciteing time in our lives because you all have been so supportave when I have had hard times and it is really nice that I get to share good news too.

I'm so happy that things are working out for the two of you. Tell him to keep it up.

That is fabulous news and I can relate. I homeschooled my oldest daughter until second grade and I was not sure we were going to be able to adjust to public schooling--but she is doing great and she LOVES it. It is such a relief, isn't it??? :-) AJ
