Cookie Dough

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive July-December 2004: Cookie Dough
By Tink on Saturday, August 7, 2004 - 08:09 pm:

We bought some bright colored cookie dough from one of my mom's students. It came in individual tubs and looked like Play-doh. It was really hot here today and so I pulled it out of the fridge and let the dks loose on it. They had a blast! They made a whole scene on the cookie sheet with flowers, bugs, the sun, themselves and a monster truck! We stuck it in the oven and let it cool on the sheet and it looks so cute. It kept them busy forever and they didn't argue because there was so much to do with it. This would make a great rainy day activity. Hmmm...I'll have to find out where to get it for this winter.

I'd love to have some of that! That would be a fun thing for *me* to do with Madison!

Karen, who would enjoy it more? LOL

Yep, that's the one! It really was so much fun for all of us! The cookies came out cute but it was really easy to burn parts without the large pieces still left raw. One of the few times that making cookies was more fun than eating them.

I used this with bad results. I was so paranoid about it staining the girls' clothes, or anything else in the kitchen because it comes with that warning! And we had the same bad luck with only the outside edges getting done and eventually burned as we tried to get the middle cooked. Personally, I won't buy it again, but I readily confess to NOT knowing my way around a kitchen.

It didn't stain a thing for us. The kids had it all over their clothes, it was on my white laminate table (and that picks up EVERY stain) and the floor and everything came clean. Maybe it was the brand we used. I didn't notice a warning on this brand. They really weren't very tasty but, like I said, it was more fun just making them.

My mom bought some of that for my ds. He loved it!! I agree, thet really were kinda yucky tasting but it kept him buisy for a long time. Ours had the Little Caesars logo on it. You can order it by going to LCDough.com. They also have a pizza makeing kit that is way fun too. Its at PizzaKit.com.
