Front tooth question

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Discussion: Archive July-December 2004: Front tooth question
By Momaroze on Tuesday, July 27, 2004 - 12:28 pm:

Ds is 7 and lost one of his front teeth months back. It looks and likely is fully grown, but the other one is still the baby tooth which is loose but still has not come out. Don't the upper two front teeth normally fall out about the same time?

I used to work in a daycare and it was very common to see 1 front tooth out and the other one still hanging on. I don't think you have anything to worry about. It will probably come out soon. Hope I helped a little.

My older son did not even lose his bottom teeth until he was seven. He is 11 now and his teeth are still late falling out. He had 4 of them pulled because he got braces when he was 8.

He just went to the dentist last week and she said that his teeth are a little delayed falling out and the permanent ones coming in. She said that it really is not a problem.

Seems to me that if they come in later, they will last longer, LOL. :)

Yes, thanks. I do feel better now, not that I was worrying excessively. Nice to hear it isn't uncommon! :)

The first tooth I lost was my left front tooth in Kindergarten, and the last one I lost was my right front tooth in 4th grade! I looked pretty funny.
