How about Breakfast ideas...

For my 3 year-old. I will tell you what he eats now. Cereal-rarely, yogurt-when he feels like it, french toast sticks-when I make them I usually eat more than he does, today he ate 1 tiny piece of cantaloupe and half a piece of cheese toast. What else can I try? Oh, he will eat eggs maybe once or twice a week.

pancakes, I get the frozen silver dollar sized ones, waffles, my ds loves english muffins & bagels with cream cheese, pop tarts, flavored breakfast drinks.

My almost 3 year old was just like what you are describing. I made cereal more interesting by adding a teaspoon of sugar and calling it magic yummy stuff - he loved that. Or add banana slices or strawberries.

I tried the oatmeal and he didn't like it - but my 5 year old loves it.

They both love pop tarts, but I only serve those once or twice a week because of the high amount of sugar.

I like all of the suggestions above.

Thanks! I've tried a lot of these, but like other meals if it looks odd he'll pass. I know he would love pancakes but he won't try them. He does like sausage though. Poptarts are old to him now, and he would only eat half of one anyway. He won't try any kind of muffin, he won't eat cream cheese or bagels. Should I just put something in front of him and if he it's it, good, if he doesn't, oh well?

My 13 month old is in love with nutri-grain bars! It is so bad that if I want her to eat something else with it, then I have to feed her the other things first. If she sees the nutri-grain bar then she refuses to eat anything else! I don't give them to her everyday (although she would eat them), but I do think they are just as nutritious as other things mentioned. She also loves yogurt.

My picky eater likes pancakes with no syrup, eggs with ketchup, sausage, the only cereal he will eat is cheerio's, rice krispies, and corn flakes, grilled cheese, oatmeal w/brown sugar, and cantaloupe/watermelon.I have to catch him on the right day too, some days he won't eat breakfast at all even when it is in front of him. I make it for him and it is there, it is his choice if he doesn't want to eat, he'll make up for it at another meal.

All mine love Toast with peanut butter and honey.

All good ideas, thank you. For lunch I made him grilled cheese which he took only one tiny bite of. At dinner he ate pretty well though. Maybe I should start a lunch and dinner ideas thread also. I could use more good ideas. I'm sure a lot of us moms could!

Although my dd is a good eater she does get bored with breakfast foods. That's when I give her non-breakfast foods. Turkey sandwiches, mac and cheese, even leftover dinner from the night before. Anything healthy that she likes. To do this I had to give up the idea of normal breakfast foods. Kwim? :) So if she will eat a stuffed baked potato with chicken for breakfast so be it. :)

Eating/food issues are biggies with small kids. It can be so frustrating watching them not eat day after day. Hang in there before you know it he will be eating you out of house and home. :)

My kids love Eggos with peanut butter and sugar free syrup. I have been trying to give them more protein and less sugar. They also like french toast with a little powder sugar on the weekends.
You could also try pupkin or banana bread.
