Okay, I have a heavy duty supply of Benedryl, Calamine Lotion and oatmeal. Right now she's only wearing underwear and a pair of shorts....nothing feels "good" against her skin on top....I'm just wondering if any of you know of anything that might not make her itch so bad...if I have to continue to let her go around with no shirt I will 'cuz it's just me, her sisters and her dad...I just think the other girls would feel more comfortable if she had something on...I think everyone might be more comfortable then..
At this moment, the Benedryl (that I ran out of last night---Dh went and got more this morning) is kicking in and she's sleeping. :):):)
Thankx SOOOOOOOO much,
Beth

Mybe like an undershirt, thats what my daughter is wearing right now cuz alot of things make her incision itch too. Its light and thin so its working.

A loose fitting cotton dress? A Large onesie?

I would try a soft undershirt of my dh that she could wear around with a pair of panties. My dh's shirts have very few seams that might irritate and they are supersoft so they might feel nice and loose on her.

When I had chicken pox at age 6 the only thing I wanted to wear was a loose, silky nightgown. It was cool and smooth and didn't chafe.

I finally got her to the doctors on Tuesday morning.....she has an allergy to sulfer....I find this out 10 days after she's taken a sulfer based antibiotic. Now she's on prednisone...(oh yea, this is fun!! NOT!) :) She is not itching anymore and I am overjoyed at this fact. Dh finally stepped up to the plate to help me out on this...I was ever so grateful...I was ready to pull my hair out by sunday!!! She chatters from the time she wakes up until she goes to bed at night...silly stuff (thank you prednisone) but all is much better here. I am no longer worried and freaking out and hope to avoid this one in the future!
I told dh I think God has decided that since we have decided not to have any more He is going to throw everything at us that we haven't had to deal with yet with the other SEVEN!!!!! :)
Thanks once again to all of you!!
Beth
