My dd won't let me out of her sight! She will be 4 mo in 2 days, my ds was never like this. She seems to need constant entertainment.
I didn't think you could spoil a baby..am I wrong?????????

No, you're not wrong! You can't spoil an infant. Perhaps she's teething or feeling under the weather and needs you. It could also be classic separation anxiety. My BabyBjorn carrier was a Godsend during times like this when DD was little. {{{HUGS}}} My DS was never like that either. LOL! They're each so very different, aren't they?!

No, babies this young can not be spoiled. My oldest ds was so independent from the start. He really diddn't like to be held. He was all over rolling and crawling by around 5 months. However, my youngest loved to be held and he wanted me near all the time. Like Trina, I used a babyBjorn for him. It worked great.

You can never never never hold your baby too much. Children are born with diffent temperments, I had one who always wanted to be held. I got a baby sling and that helped a lot, it freed my hands up to do other things and it was still comforting to them.

I truley believe the more you do hold them the more secure they can later be.

EMILY, I just came over to the parenting board and was about to post just about the same thing.

My gosh, I am at my wits end here. I am here to vent of course. My ds is 5months, and the past 4 days has almost been unbearable. He's not usually like this so I am going to blame it on teething. Of course, when I play with him, read or pick him up he is smiling endlessly! LOL, oh I could just eat him up, he's so cute and cuddly! Anyways, I find myself spending hours holding him and not really realizing it, if that makes any sense at all. I do believe the more time spent holding them now is better for them in the long run. Ds is also starting to do the screaming thing. I think he just likes to hear his own voice. I have to say time sure passes by quickly though...THERE, now I am feeling a little better.

Ahhhhhh

Oh I remember those days. My dd was the same way.
It is so hard to get anything done. But oh they grow so fast and I wish sometimes I still had my baby girl to hold. Now I have toddler who wants to do everything herself!!
