It was my ds's birthday today! He turned 5 and was so excited about it. For the first year, he really got it! For those not on the special needs board, he was diagnosed with autism almost 2 years ago. He woke up asking for his presents and went to bed talking about what a 5 year old can do that a 4yo can't. He had a party at Preschool and was sung to by all the teachers at therapy. He got to choose dinner: Grilled cheese sandwiches and no veggies! Sounds like a great b-day for a 5 yo!

My dd will turn 5 in about a month. She gets so excited about her birthdays! She actually gets very excited about anyone's birthday!
