Well this week has been interesting for use Richard caught the chicken pox they showed up full force on Saturday and I got my tubes tied yesterday so we are a bunch of cripples here this week. Then kids should start showing up with spots in the next week or so if they are going to get them. I hope they both do and get it over with.

He had it but the baby hasn't so she could get them we will know by the middle of next week if she is going to have them or not.

If your kids do get the chicken pox take them to your doctor, my son got them so i didn't get the vaccinne and when he started school they wanted a note from his doctor saying he had the chicken pox or the school was going to make him get the vaccine.

My two youngers ones had the vaccine when it first came out - but my older one (now 11) came down with the chicken pox anyway two years ago. He had a million spots, but no itch. The vaccine is not 100% effective.

I'm so sorry, Tonya! My kids both had chicken pox in October 1993. First Emily had it and then 2 weeks later, Sarah got them. This was just about the time the vaccine was getting started. I hadn't really decided if they should get vaccinated or not. I never had to have a note from the doctor about them having it. I didn't take either one to the doctor, although, when Emily got it, I did talk to one on the phone. I just had to write down when they had it and that was good enough.

I hope you all feel better soon. And I really hope Jade doesn't get too sick. I wanted my kids to get the chicken pox, so they didn't have to get the vaccine, but they got it at their 18 month check up.
