The nurse told me to give Bendryl to ease the pressure, it seemed to help mine. But if you are unsure about Bendryl for sure give your DS some Tylenol or Advil.

See if you can get a doctor's appointment today, they will usually give you antibotic and some numbing drops for the ears.

My son is the ear infection king. Give him children's motrine to ease the pain and reduce the inflammation. Tylenol will only relieve the pain. Benadryl or Dimetapp will help also. Take a potato (pierce it with a fork so it does not burst, microwave it so it's hot, put it in a sock and let him hold it to his ear. The heat will help relieve the pressure.
If it does not feel better in a little while, take him to the doctor. Ear infections can happen overnight! I took my son to the doctor one day, and the Dr. found nothing. The next morning, the poor baby had pus coming out of his ear!
There's a great product called children's earache relief made by natra bio. You might be able to find it at a healthfood store. If not, check online.
I have not tried Similisan, but that's also for earache.
I hope he feels better soon.

Thanks you guys....wish I knew about the Motrin before I bought the childrens Tylenol, but one dose and he was ok...

I think I am going to do some restocking in the medicine cabinet, because if this happens again, I want to be fully prepared......

this was not fun!!!
