YAHOO! She finally slept through the night in her own bed :) :) :) :) The last couple nights I have been sending her to bed when ds went to bed. She crys at first and gets out of bed a few times before falling asleep but none the less its been in her own bed. (she usually comes in my room in the middle of the night) Last night she got out of bed once and asked for a hug and went right back to bed. I didn't see her again until this a.m. I hope she continues this.

I'm very happy for you. My 2 year old ds is still not ready to quit co sleeping. I've tried twice but no such luck. I'll just wait till he's ready. Good for you though. It's a big step for the little one.

My daughter 2.5 slept in her own bed until after Christams. We went and visited family and due to space she slept with us and so after a week of that she wanted to so we compromised and she sleeps in her "bag" on the florr beside teh bed. It isn't that bad. I am hoping that once my 13 month old gets older they will sleep together.

That's great! My four year old has been sleeping with us since she could get out of her baby bed, which was about 2 1/2. About a month ago, she started sleeping on the couch. It is nice, but I kind of miss that little sweetie to snuggle with. I think she is scared to sleep in her room because it is upstairs. Good luck. Just try not to backslide! Easier said than done, I know.

My ds(31/2) slept with us in our queen bed till he was 2.Then me and him slept in his room on a futon (dad slept alone-he gets up at 5 for work) till about a month ago. Now Eliah sleeps with his dad and I sleep on the futon in Eliah's room alone(I am 5 months pregnant and already uncomfortable).

Dh is in HEAVEN having his son sleep with him! Eliah is so cuddly and soft and warm, and a very good sleeper too-I might add. Sometimes in the middle of the night, Eliah will half wake up and slowly stroke your face for a while. It feels so good.I miss his little warm body so much! But in a few months I will have a new baby to sleep with.

Do me and Dh miss sleeping together? You betcha! But we figure in a few years we can maybe throw the 2 kids in a bedroom together, and then we have the whole rest of our lives to sleep together(dh snores, hogs the bed and blankets, drools, and watches tv in bed anyways so I am not missing much!LOL!!!!)....

Well last night we made the plunge and took Timmy's (20 months old) crib down and set up the toddler bed that my dad made him. It took me laying on the floor beside it for about 20 minutes til he fell asleep but he stayed there all night long. Hopefully that is the worst of it and it will only get better from here.
