Big sigh of relief. I can get him to sit on the potty to take his beloved bath.

So I run the water, he sits on the potty and he listens to a potty or favorite story.

The running water makes him pee most times!

As long as he gets his bath or favorite book he is happy to sit the potty. Teacher recommended this method!

Turns out the blue fisher price step stool potty is a very good potty after all! Very comfortable.

WTG, Feona! Jules is in the process of potty training Madison right now too. She's getting the hang of peeing in the potty. Poop however, is taking longer, as is pretty much usual. She let Madison run around the house last week with no bottoms on so it would be easier for her to get on the potty in time when she felt the urge. She went in the potty 4 times that day. BUT - she also pooped on the floor sort of near the potty. LOL She told Jules she pooped, but when Jules went to check, the poop was in the middle of the floor.

I say, whatever works! And I found the running water worked with mine too (back in the dark ages!).

I am beginning to attempt to potty train (AGAIN)
DS, Jacob will be 3 in May. Was doing great with wearing "big boy underware" and going on the potty, except for poopies. Then, like a light switch, HE STOPPED POOPING!! Docs thought all kind of stuff, and ran all kinds of tests, turns out it is a good old with holding problem. I am told it is normal, but I had never heard of it until him!! We went today and even though we are still having the problem, she now says try to potty train again. He is on SERIOUS laxitive and still looks like a dog chasing his tail, running in circles with his tounge sticking out to keep from pooping!! LOL!!!!!
Anyone out there every heard of this?
Got any suggestions where to start again?

You might want to start another thread of the holding so people see your post.

I have hear of the laxatives and the holding in poopy. I don't know anything about it though. If the doctor put him on it then I guess it is good.

How long does he have to be on laxatives?

Now the teacher says to have him sit on the potty before he gets his pjs. (He does love his pjs. So it will be story and pjs and sit on potty with water running.)
