Today is my daughter Brandy's 14th birthday. The kids didn't have school and my husband didn't work and they are driving me nuts. We are having a big party at our house tomorrow for her and I'm already tired. I sent my husband and her to the store to get them out of my hair and to get some of the stuff I need. It could be a big mistake because neither one like to shop and they don't usually help. It's special to have her B-day on Valentine but, it's also gets expensive!

My friend's grandmom would have called this day your daughter's "Golden Birthday". She was her age on the date of her birth. 14 on the 14th. This grandmom gave her children then grandchildren that number of silver dollars as a gift.

Annie, that's neat. I remember when I was 29 on the 29th and that wasn't as great. It's so hard to watch your children grow up and become little adults.
