He got in! :)

Moms View Message Board: Parenting Children with Special Needs: He got in! :)
By Cat on Monday, July 21, 2008 - 11:25 am:

I just got a call from the alternative school's counselor and Robin got in! She said she'd be calling later in the week for transcript info and such, but that the principle had called her and told her to give me a call (probably because I left him a message last week). Yeah!!! I'll have to deal with driving him every day, but it's worth it (school is from 8-3, which is perfect because Randy's bus comes at 7:25 and drops off in the afternoon at 3:20). Plus I'll have some help after a couple months. :) Dh asked if I asked about school supplies. We don't have a list for either of the boys yet. I'm not too concerned, though. I can get them last minute. They already have backpacks. I'm excited! Robin's still in bed, but I'll tell him when he gets up. :) :) :)

What good news!!:) What did Robin think about his acceptance?

By Cat on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - 08:27 am:

He said, "Cool!" with genuine enthusiasm! lol I'm sure the novelty will wear off pretty quickly with him, though! rofl I'll take whatever he gives me for now, though. :) I've considered asking them if they have any job openings. Something like health assistant or teacher's aide (or whatever they call them now--Para?). I wouldn't make what I do now, though. But it would be nice to get my house back. Daycare has taken over! lol We'll see. :)

they are called "paraprofessionals" it's a great job when you have kids in the district. Same hours, same snow days, same vacations, an "in" with the teachers if your are good, etc. etc.
