Hello Ladies,
Does anyone know how to can hot peppers. I can't find anything on how much vinegar to use. I'm trying to preserve banana peppers for my son.

Haven't made the peppers yet but I found two great books at the library. The Joy of Cooking -All about canning and Keeping the Harvest by Nancy Chioffi and Gretchen Mead. They have a ton of great info. I'll let you know how they turn out. I just bought some pears and peaches to make jam and can them whole.

Sounds good! We want to go apple picking with some friends in NH at the end of the month. I would love to make some apple sauce. My grandmother makes the best, but I think she uses "June" apples and I have never heard of them. Let me know how your jam turns out!
