Talk to me.

Moms View Message Board: New to Moms View? Introduce Yourself!: Talk to me.
By Pinktatorsalad on Monday, June 21, 2010 - 11:36 pm:

Ok today wasn't the best day I have had this week or this year. I was told that on Thursday of next week I need to start chemo for my stage 2 breast cancer. I don't know if anyone is out there listening to me. So I guess I'm just venting into the vast internet of Mom's View. I have 2 sons that love me dearly. I am not in a relationship at the time but as I always have put it so stupidly.... if you're not in love you're not living. So tell me, they say it's easier to get hit my lightening than to find a true love after the age of 40... is that true? I love being in love. I love the attention. The feeling you get when he looks at you. Why don't I feel that I'm worth anything if I'm not in a relationship? I do like me. No I'm not "In Love with Me" but who is? Is there more to living than just being here on this Earth? Is there more of a reason why I gave birth to 2 wonderful men? Isn't there more to this life than just being a mother? Is there anyone hearing me? Is there anyone who feels the same way I do? If so....... TALK TO ME

Well I guess you should put the relationship on hold until the chemo is done.

Have you tried online dating or you in a little town?

There are alot of men who feel the same as you so you just have to find them.

There is meetup.com try that. to meet all type of people. Men and women.

Good luck with the chemo. I think they have good success with that!

Thanks Feona. I have tried sites like plentyoffish.com and match.com but so far they both seem to just be virtual bars and I'm just not into the bar scene these days. I'll do ok with chemo. I've done it before. The whole loosing your hair thing and no energy thing really isn't easy to get through but hair does grow back and energy comes back once chemo stops it's just enduring it while it's going on that throws you into depression like no other. I'll give meetup.com a try. Thanks for the tip.
