I woke up from a combination of having to go to the bathroom (one of the hazards of being 68) and my bursitis in my left hip hurting (also a hazard of being 68), and it's a good thing I did. Some time after I went to bed we had a 2 hour power outage - I could tell from my clock. And, of course, my alarm settings were "gone", and all the clocks had to be re-set. I would have been very upset waking up later in the morning to find I had overslept because my alarm settings were gone.

Well, it's a good thing you woke up. You might be the only one at work on time tomorrow morning. I'm up late too getting some income tax stuff ready. It's on my list of things to do tomorrow. I've been putting it off the entire break. I go back to work on Monday so I had better get it done.

Paula, due to Monday being a holiday in D.C., for some strange reason, your federal tax return can be postmarked Tuesday and still be on time - or so I've heard and read several times. Any others, of course, have to be postmarked Monday, because the 15th is Sunday and gives us an extra day. I just finished mine last night.

Yes, I'm in Canada. I think I have until the end of April to get mine in. I'm set to do them this afternoon. I bought quicktax so it should just be a matter of filling in the numbers...once I get all the paperwork organized!

We finally bought a battery backup alarm clock. We lose power often. It is power surges but it makes the clocks go to 12.
