I can’t get them to go away!! It has been 7 years. They disappear for a few weeks at a time but they always seem to come back. Does anyone else still have them after having kids? Any advice? Do they ever go away or is it something I just have to live with?

My mom had them after her hysterectomy. They went away. Have you been to a doctor?

Definitely talk to a doctor. And, yes, use a stool softener, but first talk to a doctor.

I have occasional, infrequent problems (at age 68), but they are usually resolved by paying attention to my diet and use of a stool softener or something like Metamucil or Fibercon. But I would definitely talk to a doctor first, and maybe a gastro-intestional specialist. No, after 7 years you should not be having such frequent problems. And yes, I do know how annoying and painful this can be.
