Hackers Hit TJ Maxx and Marshall's!!!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2007: Hackers Hit TJ Maxx and Marshall's!!!
By Hol on Friday, January 19, 2007 - 12:05 am:

I heard on the radio this morning that hackers have gotten into the sales records of TJ Maxx, Marshall's, Home Goods, and AJ Wright. They are all owned by the same company, and have stores in the US, Canada, England and Ireland. They said that credit and debit card numbers have probably been compromised.

I guess they struck in the Fall of 2006, but it is just now coming out, per law enforcement investigators. They said for people who shop in those stores (and face it...who doesn't?) to keep a close eye on your credit and debit card statements, for unauthorized purchases.

They need to find a way to keep this from from happening over and over again.

We did some shopping at Winners, one of their Canadian stores, this christmas. My husband and I had been talking about switching to just using cash from now on and this is just further incentive.

Glad I don't shop there!

We go into TJ Maxx, but hardly ever actually buy anything! LOL!
