Smores maker

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive January 2007: Smores maker

I am putting together a basket that will be up for auction for my dd's spring carnival. I bought a Smores Maker on clearance and thought I would start the theme around that item. What would a good theme be and what other items could I put in it? The students bring in items so I can put out a list or just ask for money and buy it myself. The baskets are usually laundry basket size and they go for $200-$300. I thought some kind of camping theme??? I know you ladies always have great ideas!!

A camping theme would be neat. Maybe a nice mini-adult sized sleeping bag and a battery operated lattern or flash light. A book on bugs. A disposable camera, a bottle of bug spray, a $10 chair in a bag, a few bottles of water.

Or you could turn it into an indoor movie night with a GC for a movie place, a couple packs of popcorn, a sleeping bag would still be cool as would the camera.

My kids received a Smore maker last year for XMas. They have alot of fun using it. Of course, make sure you add the necessary ingredients to make them.
I like the camping idea. Maybe add one of those indoor, stove-top grills. Rachael Ray uses one all the time. They seem to work great. You could also add a portable DVD player and some movies, Jiffy Pop popcorn, walkie-talkies and maybe a small pop-up tent.
The family can camp inside or outside with these items.
