Help, my all in one printer died!

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2006: Help, my all in one printer died!
By Insaneusmcwife on Friday, December 29, 2006 - 11:26 am:

My HP 6110xi is broke, I think. It keeps telling me that I have the wrong cartridge in but it is the correct one and the same one that I have been using for over a month. The error is causing the other functions like the outgoing faxes and my scanner not to work. Anyone know how to fix this or have any recommendations for a new one. We have had this for almost 4 years now so it is probably time for a new one. TIA!

As it is probably no longer under warranty it's not worth fixing. I'd start looking for a new printer. Sorry.

As for recommendations, I have the HPpsc 2410 photosmart it's fine for scanning, faxing and printing documents I don't love it for printing photos, then tend to fade. However, Karen has the same one and I believe she's happy with it.

Let's know what you buy.

Well I don't know what was wrong with that printer carteridge but we replaced it just to see if it would help and it works now. Yippe! Thats an expense I didn't need right now. Thank you for your help!

I have the 2410xi photosmart and I love it! Good news about the print cartridge, but *if* you end up replacing the printer, HP is better than most. It's cheaper to replace them that to attempt to have them repaired. I've owned 2 or 3 over the last 10 years, and my current one is still going strong.
