AOL's AIM??

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive December 2006: AOL's AIM??
By Vicki on Friday, December 22, 2006 - 12:32 pm:

Does anyone use this? I have been trying all morning to get this set up for my dd to chat with her friends over break and it keeps telling me the system is down? Is anyone that uses this having problems, or is it just my computer or maybe I am doing something wrong?

By Sandysmom on Friday, December 22, 2006 - 01:33 pm:

That is why I set up a Yahoo account for chatting. AIM was just a pain in the b*tt. Yahoo has never let me down. Good luck!

I am finding that out... I have no idea what I am doing wrong. Problem is, dd's friends already use aim, so we are kind of stuck!

I haven't used it lately, but I have it. I prefer YIM anyway, I'm with Sandy on that one.

Thanks, I finally got it working. I don't even know what I was doing wrong or what I did to make it work, but it does now. Maybe some Christmas magic! LOL

Maybe their server was down and you just had to wait until it was back up. That would have been totally out of your control. I'm glad it's working now.
