Acme, a supermarket chain, had Sylvania 20" flat screen TVs for $79.99, and my TV has been dying. So when I saw the ad in the morning paper (I was up at 5 AM), I checked the store openining time, which is 6 AM, and at 6:30 I was in the store buying my new TV. Now all I have to do is wait for Scott to get home to take it out of the car. Which means I will spend the rest of the day cleaning house and wrapping presents, instead of doing any more shopping, because my car is small and I had to push the back seat down for the TV to fit in the trunk - and don't want to park anywhere with a TV box showing in my car.

I am one of those people who vowed I'd never be at a store before sunrise just to buy something - but some vows are meant to be broken.

That's a great price! I'm with you about the pre-dawn shopping thing, but I think I'd make an exception, too, for that price.

Shawn has a flat screen in his bedroom and we just bought one for the living room. I didn't know if I'd like it at first, but the picture is very sharp. You'll love it. Enjoy!
