Where do you buy a whistle??

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2006: Where do you buy a whistle??

I am a substitute 'noon aide' this year at dks school. A noon aide is like the playground lady. I need to find a whistle. I looked online at a few sporting goods stores and walmart and target online but didn't see any. I have no idea where to get one!

Any ideas?

TIA

Gosh, I can't believe that the sporting goods section of wal mart or target wouldn't have it... have you tried a actual sporting goods store? Do you have a ••••• Sporting Goods near you??

You can try cycle shops or running stores, both should carry them.

Maybe the toy department?

I don't know. I didn't like the whistle I got at Walmart, because it wasn't loud enough. I get my whistles at school and they are LOUD!

I would try and Army/Navy surplus store. My dad's whistle from the military was sturdy and LOUD!

I got my whistle in the sports area at Meijer. It was with the basketball clipboards. :) You really have to look thoug. They're so small and not easily seen with all the other sports items.
