And, I am a ball of nerves. I guess it is hard letting go. They finally set up a stop for us. It is on our corner(we live one house down), so it is great. I am just nervous about them getting on the bus this afternoon. They make it really easy after school, and they both know their bus number, so I am sure they will be fine. Ohhhh...my babies are growing up.

But, I am very excited about not having to wait 30 minutes in the car pick up line this afternoon.

My kids never had any issues with riding the bus to school. If they got home later than usual, it was because the bus driver was a sub and they did the route differently.

I remember when mine first started riding. I was a nervous wreck! But it felt nice not having to fight the school traffic!

It went great. They are the last stop in the morning, but then the last stop at the end of the day. My oldest said he likes being the last one off, because then he won't forget to get off!! They did great, and they both love it. The bus driver is an older man, who is as sweet as can be.

I loved not having to fight traffic. It is such a mess at pick up. They get home just 10-15 minutes later then if I picked them up. But, I don't have to sit in a hot car for 30 minutes waiting in the pick up line. And, then waiting 20 minutes until I get to the front of the line!

So, all went well!

We take our kids and pick them up, now. When Sarah first started high school, we would wait in the circle drive. Then we realized that was stupid, because we were waiting, even after Sarah was in the car, to get home, because the other cars weren't moving.

So, we started parking about a block away and having Sarah walk to us! It worked much better. Then we could leave right away (unless a train comes! LOL!)
