Eye creams

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive September 2006: Eye creams

I know there was a post a while back about what kind of anti-wrinkle eye cream everyone uses. There were lots of great suggestions, but my problem is with sensitive skin. I use the Proactiv line and love it, but I don't care much for their eye creams. (I've used both the cream and the serum). My old skincare line, Bioelements, has a great eye care product called Jet Travel, but it never fails to irritate my skin now in my upper cheek area, no matter how hard I try to stay right around my eyes.

I've also tried an anti-wrinkle cream from Beauticontrol, but it did the same thing. I've basically just stopped using anything and I can tell. I don't care if it's at Walmart or a higher end product from a dept. store. I just want something that would be good for my sensitive skin. Those of you with sensitive skin, what do you use and love? I would be willing to try products recommended by sensitive skin people.
Thank you!

I would try something from Clinique. They handle all types of skin care problems.

I use some stuff from estee lauder and have no issues. Clinque is the same company, just geared for younger gals...I just happened to get a sample with my perfume once.

I use Clinique makeup and have no problems..hhmmmm...never thought of Clinique for skincare I guess. Maybe I'll hit the Clinique counter this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion. I really hadn't thought of it.

DD Jen has recently been using the acne/skin care products from Philosophy. She loves it, says it works better for her skin than Proactive ever did. And I can't say enough about their eye cream. Several people have now told me they can see the difference in the lines, etc. around my eyes.

Karen - How is it, fragrance wise? I know that you are sensitive to scents near the eyes, and I am, too. I use Olay Eye Treatment. It is a GEL. It is fragrance free and very cooling. I think it makes a difference.

Deana - The Olay eye gel is VERY gentle. I get it in Walmart. It comes in a small jar that is packaged in a gold and black box. I think that it is about $9.00.

Hol, the Hope in a Tube eye cream is wonderful. I don't think it has a scent at all. The face cleansers do, and some of the face moisturizing creams do, but the Hope in a Tube for eyes doesn't. I also use the Eye Believe. I love all their products, though the cleansers *do* have a scent. The Purity Made Simple isn't very strong, however, the The Great Mystery, the quickie facial cleanser has a stronger scent and the smell of it really bothers me.

My aesthetician told me to just get some Vitamin E cream - worked really well for me.
