Deanna--Reds--One More Cingular Question...

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: Archive July 2006: Deanna--Reds--One More Cingular Question...
By Kate on Friday, July 28, 2006 - 12:49 pm:

If I keep the phone turned on, but do not make or receive any phone calls, am I charged $1.00 per day or any kind of charge? I didn't know if having the phone turned on in case someone calls, is considered usage of the phone...

I will answer this it is not usage. Useage is only when you are physically using the phone to call someone or take a call in.

No - That was my question to! It's the same as a regular cell...you're charged for calls going out or coming in. It's only usage when you're talking to someone.

After hanging up from each call, it will pop up with how much that call cost you. It also starts reminding you about 3 weeks before you expire. My DH's often does this because his is rarely used so we have to mark on the calendar when to renew. I use mine all the time so I always know when I'm running low.

There are no hidden charges at all. HTH :) If you have any more questions I'd be happy to help. We had a lot of questions at first, too.
I DID have to go to a Cingular Office to set up my voice mail. The instruction booklet tells you how to do it, but we could never get ours figured out. She set them up for us and we've been fine since.
