I thought I had a yeast infection, but now I'm wondering if it might be a UTI. I've only had one of each several years ago so fortunately I'm not too familiar with either. For those of you who get UTI's what are the symptoms besides frequent urination? Have any of you had frequent urination with a yeast infection?

I have had each of those once and also had a kidney infection once. When I had the yeast infection, I did not have the frequent urination. When I had the UTI, it was frequent, VERY painful urination and even bleeding. I would go to the doctor if your not sure what it is. I wouldn't want to treat for something and have it be the other. The doctor will give you meds for either one to clear it up.

I agree - see your doctor. The test for a UTI is very simple - pee in a cup. The test for a yeast infection is almost as simple. Each requires a different treatment and using the wrong treatment will only prolong your misery and you will have a longer treatment/healing time when the right treatment is started.

Symptoms of a yeast infection can also mimic symptoms of other things, like bacterial vaginosis, etc.

Go to the doctor. If it's a bladder infection, you don't want it to get to your kidneys!
