Today Sponge for BC

I used this back in the early 90's and loved it. Then it was taken off the market because it could cause TSS. I was making babies at the time, so this didn't really affect me. I even remember a Seinfeld episode where Elaine tried to buy them in bulk because she loved them so much....anyway.

I was in CVS the other day and they are back on the market. Has anyone started using them? They used to be great because you could insert one and then have "spontaneous" fun hours later. Maybe the time frame has changed for them. I'm curious.

Originally made by a pharmaceutical giant now called Wyeth, it was taken off the market in 1995 after problems were found at the company's factory in Hammonton, New Jersey. The FDA said the sponge's safety and effectiveness were never questioned. Wyeth simply stopped selling it rather than pay to upgrade its plant.

Got this from: http://www.cnn.com/2003/HEALTH/03/05/sponge.returns.ap/
