She was born Tues night at 6:08 pm.She weighed 7 lbs and 6.8oz and was 20 1/2 in long . Her hair is reddish blonde ( dh swears she is red headed because he is !)and she is BEAUTIFUL !!!! Her name is Ashley Marie. She already is a very alert baby. Within the hour after she was born,there was 13 of us taking turns holding her.She had her eyes totally open and was looking at each of us!It was as if she was really studying each person as we held her.This was number eleven for us...but it was DH's first biological dgc. I explained to him that he was perfectly ok if he felt "different" this time,since this was his first blood dgc.Not that I mean't that there should be any more or less love,but that I could understand the connection of seeing if she looked like him,etc.But he said( and has said this throughout the whole pregnancy) that this is grandbaby # 11,and that he feels no different toward this one than he does the others. And at the hospital ( which was a wonderful experience with his x and her dh.We all laughed and had a great time together.) his x said" this is my first dgb...but he has been a grandaddy for quite a while".
