Bemerry84- Balancing Cream

I bought a bottle of Prolief and used it about four times and saw no real difference. After reading your post and then looking at the doctor's webpage (I took the test and it seems as if I'm lacking progesterone as I suspected) I want to give it another try. You said you apply it every day except when you are bleeding? Once or twice a day? Any other tips - does it take a few days or weeks to kick in?

I'm seeing a doc for NO testosterone and plummeting progesterone during PMS, his info is at www.sottopelletherapy.com Dr Tutera, his main office in AZ, but I know he has a few other offices scattered about. I am having AMAZING resutls by taking a bio identical progesterone orally (it's a cream), and have a pellet of testosterone in my hip:)
I know these problems are real, I hope you find a solution that works for you

Okay, according to the test I'm so off it's not even funny! Imbalances in Groups 1,3,4,5, and 6!!! I AM on the pill as I mentioned in another thread, and have been for years. It is a lower dose of estrogen though, due to stomach problems when it was higher. I DO NOT want to go off of the pill. Well, let me rephrase that: I would LOVE< LOVE< LOVE to go off the pill, but I do not want to have any more babies and quite frankly, DH and I just can't be trusted with other forms of BC!:) BCP's are my trusted, best friend, but I do hate the way I feel when I'm on them. I never knew I felt differently (been on them so many years) until I went off for pregnancy and a few months before. DH and I didn't have one fight for a whole year!! I was the nicest person I'd been in years. I hate that dilemma, but DH is not ready to get fixed yet.

I'm rambling. Should I see my doctor about this? Probably best would be to go off of the pill and then re-evaluate later, but I just can't do that.

Didn't read all these threads but looks like this is about pms-hormones, etc.? Checked out the above-mentioned website and the sysmptoms the Dr. gets into fatique, weight gain etc. rang a bell. I went to my yearly checkup and was told my thyroid was abnormal (low side). I HAD been tired a lot lately, always taking naps, terrible pms (had previously taken sarafem) etc. So I've been reading a lot about this thyroid thing and come to find it is a pretty common thing for woman my age (47) to have this condition. It is not just a thyroid thing but effect hormones, etc. Just wanted to mention this because maybe some of you out there in this age bracket could be going thru the same thing. From what I read most woman have this condition and don't even know it. Sorry if I'm rambling :) Been taking a new med for this and feeling better already. Three weeks late for period so starting menopause?

Jeanne,
At first I used it once a day until I got off the provera, then I upped it to twice a day. It did take a few months to get regulated. Give it another try with twice a day, it may take a couple cycles to stabalize.

Deanna,
I would go to the doctor if I was you, maybe you just need another kind of pill. I was off in the same categories as you and I'm not on the pill. You shouldn't have to feel yucky.
