DH has a habit of not using up all his vacation time and losing it. He decided to take Mondays off here and there to enjoy long weekends. Yesterday was the first Monday he took off, and because the kids are still in school, we had the day to ourselves. We went out to lunch and went shopping together. It was SO nice to take our parenting hats off for awhile and enjoy COUPLE time. Just the two of us!

Isn't that an awesome feeling to just be someone wife for a while instead of someones mom. Enjoy those Monday's if you get anymore when the kids are still in school. If not just think back to yesterday when you had that alone time.

Glad you had a nice day! Since DH is a minister and is never off on Sundays his "weekend" is Friday and Saturday. So...we are both home alone together every Friday when school is in session. It is very nice and a hard habit to break now that summer is here--LOL. Of course now it is good family time though.

I love days like that. I'm blessed that my DH has a schedule that gives him days off during the week and every other fri-sat-sun off. During the school year, we have lunch out together at least once a week. Nothing expensive, and we have little dd with us but it's still nice.
