My ds had his kindergarten graduation today . It was so cute and terribly sad! They sang lots of songs and then we watched a dvd that one of the moms made. It had pictures from the school year. I think part of it is because we are moving in a few weeks. My boys go to a small school, and I really love it. I have become close with some of the mom's. One of them actually started crying when I told her we were leaving in 2 weeks, she didn't realize it was going to be so soon. Ds's teacher got teary eyed when he said good-bye. Ds was so proud! He should be, he has come a long way this year. I am proud of him too, but really sad! What am I going to do next year with him in school all day?

Sounds like a bittersweet moment soon to be followed by another bittersweet moment(moving). As far as the next school year, I think you will be surprised at how quickly that time can be filled up.

I am glad to hear he had a great program! I can relate to the emotions.

As for next yr I bet you will find plenty to do while he is in school all day !!

The proud moments,they make me cry too.Just watching and reflecting on how much they've grown always chokes me up.I'm glad you had that special moment with him to share.There's plenty more proud moments to come!!!

Awww, it's happy and sad all at the same time! In May/June, I always think the school year has gone by, so fast! Can you believe you almost have a first grader.

In my kindergarten class, that I work with, at lunchtime, I can't believe how big they are already. They no longer look like the scared little people I saw on the first day of school.
