I was just wondering that, especially after reading Heidi's post earlier. Me, personally, I have a cousin in the national Guard and he was in Iraq for about a year, but he's been back for over a year now. Not sure if they are going to send him back.

My friend's husband has been in Iraq, since August of 2005. He trained in Mississippi, for about 2 months before that. He is supposed to come home in August of this year.

My son Adam is about to graduate from Marine Corp Boot Camp at the end of June. My dh was in desert storm and also went to Iraq again right before he retired from the Marine Corp.

Dh retired last fall after 20 years in the Air Force. We have lots of friends who are still active duty.

I have a cousin or two in Iraq and my DD's teacher has a DS and DIL who just left for Iraq two weeks ago. We are doing care packages for them. Plus a little girl who just joined DD's class a week or so ago has a mom that is stationed in Irag for a year. She and her siblings are living with grandma until then. They moved here from Indiana.

My husband is in the Army, we're stationed at Ft. Riley, KS. His "baby" brother is in the Coast Guard. No one I know personally is in Iraq right *now*, but a few are getting ready to go, and a few did not make it home. My DH will probably go soon, if he doesn't go into specialty schools first (like Airborne, Air Assault, and Drill).

DH is in the Marines Corps. Not deployed but will be going to Japan in July of next year.

Me, too. My brother just got back from being overseas for a couple of years. He had a short leave in between his assignments. I think it was a week or so. When all this first started, both of my brothers were headed out, but only the older one ended up going.

My brother-in-law is in the Air Force. Stationed in South Carolina right now. But just returned at the end of March from a year of duty in Korea. My sister-in-law, his wife, is due to have their second child anytime now, and then they expect he will be off to the Middle East shortly after.
