Last month, I got my period around the 9th or 10th. This month's started today. When are we going on vacation next month? On the 10th! Argh! It's not so much the making-love issue, since we will be in hotel rooms, with the kids, but it's just the general hassle of having to deal with my period! This is when it's a curse to be so regular! I don't think it's ever going to stop.

I'm not sure I want to call my doctor and mess up my period, so I don't have it, either, since it's not like I will be having any alone time with DH anyway.

Bleah. Aren't I old enough to start being a little more irregular yet?

Funny, I was just lamenting the fact that I used to be regular, and now I'm starting to have things get messed up! I got mine early this month, and I just figured that when it's due next month will be on MY vacation! LOL Of course, maybe I'll be really late or super early...who knows? You have my sympathy.

I wish mine were that regular. It used to be. In March I started on the 21st. In April it was the 15th and this months started today. My mom had terrible fibroid tumors. I guess I should get checked. I asked a friend last month, "I wonder how much weight I'd lose if I had a hysterectomy???" It wouldn't hurt to ask your doc for advise is you want to delay it. Lots of people do it. Good luck and don't wish for irregularity!

The exact same thing dawned on me this month. We will be in Colorado, hiking and rafting..OH FUN!

I did just get all checked out from the doc. The short story is there is now a procedure called "novasure" they can do, it basically burns the endometrium and you don't have periods anymore...ever. The doc thinks I am a candidate for this, but I am probably not having it done too soon.

Dawn, I totally understand!! I started BC this week, taking 9 weeks continuously then off for one week, so I get less periods a year. Mine were regular and close together, so it was MISERABLE!!!

I hear you, Dawn. At the end of this month dh and I are going alone to a resort for four days, with his company. A bonus, of sorts. Anyway, I should start my period on the day we leave. Hopefully, I'll be early.

I wouldn't say that my periods are miserable. I'm just ready to be done with the game. I'll just deal with it. After the first day or so, it's really not that big a deal anyway. They don't last as long as they used to.

I get my period 2 or 3 times a year. I ALWAYS get it for the first couple of days of our Florida trip ... every year!! I think my body relaxes so much at that time that everything just lets go.

I hear you too. I'm pretty sure mine will be here when we leave for Nova Scotia in July. Since we are going to be there for 3 weeks the odds of missing it were slim. I would have rather had it the last week though since we'll be spending the first two weeks at the beach

Figures!!! What we women have to suffer through. Be glad you're still on once a month schedule. I had 3 cycles in May talk about yuk!!! So I figure mine will be here for my vacation too. We go to our cabin in Northern MI and there isn't any water or electricity but I have to put on my happy face for everyone else. Have a good time on your vacation and I'm sure you'll take lots of pictures.

Yes, between Gary and Sarah, I'm sure we will take tons. We have about 300 pictures or so, from our last trip.
