Our 21 yr DSD FINALLY got her high school dip. Ok so its a GED but it has taken her 3yrs and 5months to get it. We are soooooo happy! She played around her Senior yr and like to SKIP...We maded her go to the Jr College to try and get a regular dip but she took too long..We gave in in Jan of this year and told her to go get a GED...I had to take her down there in July to register her...She kept forgetting and missing the deadline..She took the test in Aug. and we found out yesterday that she passed...Dip came in the mail!!! We are sooo HAPPY...I'd be much happier if she'd gotten it in 2006 BUT she FINALLY did...I AM HAPPY for her...One more to go...And she just start HS.

Cathy, we've already decided when our now 16yo is 17 he can take the GED. He HATES school. He's in an online school right now because the local public school are horrible for him. He's failing everything. Pretty bad for a kid who's IQ is over 130! I really don't care HOW he graduates--as long as he does.

CONGRATULATIONS to you dd!!! That's really a great accomplishment. She'll be glad she did it.
