We are going to our first rodeo! I'm so excited. I hope the boys like it.

We had a great time! It was large enough that there were quite a few events and a good number of contestants, yet small enough that the boys weren't overwhelmed and they were able to see from the stands. Dh liked it too. He said we should make it a yearly thing. I have no complaints.

We watched a movie last night called Grand Champion, about a little boy who raises and enters a steer for competition. This week, my little one had cowboys as the storytime theme. It was perfect.

Ok, maybe we should have rethought this rodeo thing. I just caught my six year old trying to tie up his 4 year old brother with a jump rope. He told me, "Mommy, I'm doing roping just like the cowboys!" I told him not on his brother so they started to practice on their piggy bank. lol
