They may have found Caylee

Moms View Message Board: General Discussion: They may have found Caylee
By Dana on Thursday, December 11, 2008 - 06:25 pm:

Our FL news is full of the coverage and it is all over the national news as well. A tiny skull was found near the Anthony home. It was found where they had already searched, but it was said that area was so flooded it was missed. It is not confirmed yet, that it belongs to her, though.

The man who organized the big search said it best. He said "God has his own time plan, and He decided now was the time to reveal this" when questioned about missing it on other searches.

I'm sure he must feel awful about missing it before, even though the waters would have hidden it back then.

I am just so glad that the mother can no longer think she will be getting away with this. I just angers me so much to listen to her lies and watch her parents give into them.

Dana, we were watching that for about 2-3 hours @ the Orlando airport today. Anxious to see Nancy Grace's coverage on that later on tonight.......

I, too, think the mom killed her daughter....

:( :( :(

Well, Karen, you were just 2 hours from me! Next time let me know. Are you still there or back home now?

By Bellajoe on Thursday, December 11, 2008 - 07:05 pm:

I have not followed this at all. I try not to watch too much of the news when the kids are around, it is just always bad news and people killing each other. It's nothing little children should see.

I do watch the news later at night but must have missed this story.

How sad. :(

I had really hoped, in the beginning, that it wouldn't turn out this way. We really needed a positive ending in this country, not another mom killing their baby. Of course, once the story unfolded, I was pretty sure the little girl was dead, and the mom did it. Anyway, I've been watching this all day... on one hand I hope it's not her, but on the other, I'm pretty sure Caylee is dead, and hope they can finally bury her.

Dana, we flew home this afternoon. I didn't realize you were that close. I tried to hook up with Deanna, she was @ Disney at the same resort for a few days when we were there. It's hard to do anything other than Disney if you're doing a Disney trip. :)

I'm just so glad this little girl won't have to be lost with no answers. And she will get her proper burial. And that it won't be one of those "I wonder what ever happened" stories.

It is so very very sad.

Bellajoe, i'm with you. There are months at a time that I have no clue what is going on in the world for the same reasons you shared.

But being so close to Orlando, this particular story has been in our news for the last 6 months...and Nancy Grace (she has a show on a cable network) has aired the story pretty much every night since then repeating the exact same info each night. Nancy Grace is a news reporter who was once a court lawyer (not sure what type) and she recently gave birth to twins. So this story has hit her *I THINK* like no other story has. You know how you felt watching this stuff the first time you became a mom. Everything changes! And it cuts you to the bone.

Do you guys really like Nancy Grace?? She is SO loud and SO obnoxious I can't stand her!! Any real information she has is buried in the vicious verbal assault she always spews. I agree with her indignation at many things, but the way she presents it all just makes her unbearable to me. She is coarse and grating and harsh and it's so hard to listen to because her audience and the people she's interviewing are not the ones she's angry with. But we get all her wrath anyway.

By Karen~admin on Friday, December 12, 2008 - 09:17 am:

It's not that I particularly *like* Nancy Grace - sometimes she drives me nuts. What I DO like about her is she's totally not afraid to put anyone on the spot to get an answer to her question.

And Dana, I told DH the same thing last night, that I think since she gave birth, this story has really hit home for her.

By Dana on Friday, December 12, 2008 - 09:45 am:

She gets on my nerves too. But I do know that if there is any new info on the case, I can tune in on her show and see it. It is just like Old Faithful....she is on this story like nothing I've seen before. Most everything she says is just repeating the same thing, but she has presented the new stuff before the local news does.

The first time I saw her show was right before this case started. My mom was in the hospital and there was a story about two young girls who had been shot execution style on the side of a road. I never did hear what happened with that story. Last I heard there were no suspects. Caylee's story happened and that was the end of all other reports on her show (I've never watched the entire show, so I don't if she does more than on story on a show.)

DEFINITIVE LINK from remains found and items from the Anthony home. They did not disclose what it is, but it is definite link! WOW.

This is so sad... the Sun-Sentinel has a front page spread. My grandmom said something to the effect of not being sure she is happy that they found her, and I pointed out that now she will get a proper burial. She said "By who? Who do you think is going to bury that little girl, after they put her in a bag?!" She has a point, but like I told her, I think the grandparents will care enough to bury her, even if they are lying for their daughter. I hope they someday manage to bring charges against them for obstruction.

Oh, and talk about the news being depressing, our front page is headed by Caylee, and the main photo/story is about the Boca mall murders last year... a mother and her 7 year old daughter shot execution style. Merry Christmas everyone... :(

Such a sad story. In a way, my heart breaks knowing that the truth now lies in front of us. In another way, I am glad there is a body for evidence and I hope Florida in turn decides to pursue the death penalty. I'm not sure whether I think she deserves death or life in prison, but I think the option should be left to the people.

Poor, poor Caylee. What a mess she was born into.
